I first landed in the Transkei in early 2005 and was unprepared for the impact that this forgotten little paradise would have on this urban individual.

 

This blog is a collection of random observations, insights and feelings about a place very close to my heart. For natural beauty and unspoilt vistas undisturbed by urban decay one cannot go wrong. Just remember that it can grab your soul and it always exacts a price for friendship. That price is a stay much longer than originally intended and some souls just never leave.
